The Piddingtons

1950s radio magic sensation

Ian Fenn

In 1949, Sydney and Lesley Piddington held over 20 million BBC listeners spellbound. They appeared to read each other’s minds, and every programme ended with the same challenge: “You are the judge.”

They never revealed their methods. Drawing on every broadcast, their stage shows and private correspondence, this book tells their story, from their first broadcasts in Australia to their retirement from show business.
